KROK Trainer is an independent educational project designed to help students prepare for the KROK medical examination.

KROK Trainer collects only the information necessary to provide account features, exam history and application functionality.
- Email address used to create and manage an account.
- Technical user identifier generated by the authentication system.
- Exam history and performance data.
- Information such as exam date, selected subject, number of questions, correct answers, incorrect answers and final score.
KROK Trainer does not intentionally collect medical records, health information or other sensitive personal information from users.

Personal data is processed only where necessary to provide the features requested by users.
- To create and authenticate user accounts.
- To enable password recovery.
- To save exam history.
- To generate performance statistics.
- To maintain the security and proper functioning of the service.
4. Accounts and authentication
Account registration is optional. KROK Trainer can also be used without creating an account.
Authentication and account management are provided through Supabase. Supabase processes the information required to create, authenticate and manage user accounts.
5. Exam history and statistics
If you are signed in, completed exam sessions may be stored in the KROK Trainer database so that your exam history and performance statistics can be accessed later and across supported devices.
Exam performance data is associated with your account and is not intended to be publicly visible to other users.
6. AI Explain
Practice Mode includes an optional feature called AI Explain. This feature generates an educational explanation after a user answers a question.
When AI Explain is requested, the following information may be transmitted for processing:
- The question text.
- The available answer choices.
- The correct answer stored in the KROK Trainer database.
- The answer selected by the user.
- The subject associated with the question.
This information is sent through a KROK Trainer server-side function to the OpenAI API for the sole purpose of generating the requested explanation.
Users should not enter personal, confidential or medical information into AI-related features.
7. Local storage
KROK Trainer may use your browser's local storage to save application data locally on your device.
This may include quiz progress, preferences, error history or other application state required for the service to function without an account.
Local storage remains on your device and can normally be removed by clearing your browser's website data.
8. Cookies and analytics
KROK Trainer currently does not use advertising cookies, behavioural advertising or third-party analytics services for user profiling.
This policy will be updated if analytics or additional tracking technologies are introduced in the future.
9. Third-party services
KROK Trainer currently relies on the following external service providers:
Used for authentication, account management, database services and server-side functionality.
Used to generate AI Explain educational content when explicitly requested by the user.
These providers process data according to their own contractual and privacy obligations.

Account and exam-history data may be retained while the user's account remains active and for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service.
Users may request deletion of their account and associated data by contacting KROK Trainer.

Reasonable technical measures are used to protect account and application data from unauthorized access or disclosure.
However, no internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.

KROK Trainer is an educational tool intended for examination preparation only.
Questions, answer keys and AI-generated explanations may contain errors, outdated information or inaccuracies.
Content provided by KROK Trainer must not be considered medical advice, clinical guidance or a substitute for official educational materials, professional medical judgement or qualified healthcare advice.
15. Changes to this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated as KROK Trainer develops, particularly when new services, data-processing activities or third-party providers are introduced.
